Here’s a list of some of the things I've been loving this month:
To be honest I’ve never been one to pay much attention to skincare, but this moisturizing gel changed me life. I was having a few problems with dry spots and break-outs a few months ago, when I was recommended this gel. It really did make a dramatic difference ever since, and now I recommend it to everyone I know.
This is a great product for the summer, especially when you’ve gotten a little sun. I usually add a few drops in when applying my moisturizer and it just gives my face a hint of color and perfect glow.
Georgia is really close to my heart, so when I heard about this palette I just had to have it! Besides the great quality of Too Faced eye shadows, everything from the peach scents to the nostalgic names of each shade makes it a very special palette.
I was really skeptical about cushion foundations when they first hit the market, but I’ve been seriously impressed with the lasting quality and coverage of this technology. This Sephora cushion foundation is a great alternative for those who don’t want to invest in the more expensive versions. It’s been perfect for my summer make-up routine when I want a natural and light foundation to work with.
If you have skin as pale as mine, then you probably understand the struggle of finding an under-eye setting powder that really gives you that bright look. This Sephora brightening powder is the solution you’ve been looking for! I would recommend that you use it sparingly because it can show up as stark white in flash photos if you’re not careful. But use it to set your under-eye area with a damp beauty blender and it’ll brighten your eyes and amp up your highlighter.
I like to try new concealers all the time, and although I know I’m late on this bandwagon, I’ve been loving the Naked Skin concealer. It has a super convenient applicator, that also makes it a handy handbag accessory for emergency touch-ups!
Everyone has heard of Kat Von D’s liquid lipsticks by now, so I won’t bore you by talking about their long lasting quality and great color selection. Instead I’ll tell you about this combo that I’ve been obsessed over recently. Bow & Arrow and Requiem, although look like polar opposites, create the perfect ombre lip. Though, most days, I just apply them right on top of each other to create a gorgeous cool nude. (To name drop, this combo has been known to be used by Kylie Jenner and Bella Thorne)
Fashion & Accessories
Got these beauties as a graduation gift and I’ve been wearing them non-stop. I love their reflective ice blue lenses, and light tortoiseshell frames which make them my favorite summer accessory.
I recently got my ears pierced (yes at 23), so earrings have been a super fun accessory to play with this month! I’m always on the hunt for new earrings so leave me some suggestions below on some quirky pairs I should pick up!
This pink wining burqaa phone case was my favorite find this month! I’ve been following Fatama AlMulla on Instagram for a while (if you don’t, you should @fmm.dubai), and I’m a huge fan of her designs. I was super excited when I found this at Urbanist in Box Park, Dubai.
Pins and patches have been huge trends lately, but I actually owe my obsession to my best friend who’s been collecting color pins and patches for years! These are just a few of my favorites! (Side note: idk if you've heard about the recent Zara scandal, they've been stealing designs for their pins and patches from these very talented artists and illustrators, so if you're interested please make sure you buy from the original designers)
My new fav travel scent, it’s super soft but lasts all day. I keep this little guy in my handbag for on-the-go sprits!
Even though I’m an "adult" now, I love looking for easy and fun young adult books to read while I’m at the pool or by the beach. I read How to Love this month, and it's not really your typical boy meets girl type of storyline, it's got a few dark turns and plot twists. It's a love it or hate kind of read, but if you do pick it up let me know what you think!
Cards & Prints
I’ve always loved watercolors and micron pen illustrations, and this month I’ve been recreating some of my favorite designs into cards, postcards and prints to give out to friends, or simply hang up on my inspiration board.
