October Favorites

Here's a list of what I've been loving this month:

Beauty

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics

It took me a while to get ahold of this palette because of all the hype around it. I'm a huge fan of the Naked range by Urban Decay, and specifically their eye shadow palettes. This  product definitely lived up to it's reputation, and I've been using it pretty much everyday this month. The colors are very pigmented, yet extremely easy and soft when it comes to blending and application. In addition, it's large mirror can really come in handy if you're traveling with this palette. Definitely would recommend it if you're looking for a daily essential eye shadow palette.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

I've had this foundation for a while, but I've sort of rediscovered it this month. I've been looking to change up my foundation and find something that offered a medium to light coverage for my day to day errands and outings. This Luminous Silk Foundation by Armani has been the perfect balance! It has medium coverage, feel super light on the skin and gives me the perfect glow (hence the name). It's more on the expensive side as far as price, but worth the investment.

Physician's Formula Bronze Booster

Ever have those days where you're just too lazy to actually contour and sculpt your cheeks? This is a great alternative. This affordable bronze booster gives you that sun kissed glow and bronze look with out all the hassle of contouring.

Skin Care

Grease Lightening

One of my long time favorites, particularly this month since my skin has been acting up, this Lush product is an extremely precise and effective spot treatment. Made of tea tree and aloe gel, place it on any zit as soon as you feel it forming. This product immediately dries out any spot and prevents acne from even showing up on your face (if you apply the product early enough).

Fashion

Two Toned Denim

This trend has been one of my favorites this month. Two toned denim jeans have been every where, from designer stores to more affordable brands. They come various colors, from light wash blue to black. This specific pari is from Gap, but I also own a couple of others from H&M and Stella McCartney.

Adidas Gazelle Sneakers

There are many reasons I love these sneakers. They're extremely comfortable, perfect for everyday wear. Plus this muted pink has been the color of the season. Adidas is extremely trendy right now, but I this pair has a slightly different look than the standard Adidas sneakers everyone's been wearing.

Lifestyle

What It Takes

I've spoken about some of my favorite podcasts on my blog before, and this podcast is one of my latest favorite discoveries. What It Takes features intimate, revealing conversation with towering figures in almost every field: music, science, sports, politics, film, technology, literature, the military and social justice. They are rare interviews that have been recorded over the past 25 years by the Academy of Achievement. They offer the life stories and reflection of people who have had a huge impact on the world, and insights you can apply to your own life. I highly recommend you give this a listen if you are looking for some motivation and insight into what it takes to become one of the greats.
